Creating a BCP

To create a Business Continuity Plan:

  1. Navigate to Business Continuity - BCP
  2. Click Add Plan
  3. Fill in plan details:
    • Plan Name - Title of the BCP
    • Department/Process - What the plan covers
    • Plan Owner - Person responsible
    • Description - Plan overview
    • Linked BIA - Associated BIA record
  4. Add recovery procedures
  5. Click Submit

A comprehensive BCP includes:

  • Plan Activation - When and how to activate
  • Communication Plan - Who to notify and how
  • Recovery Procedures - Step-by-step recovery actions
  • Resource Requirements - What is needed to recover
  • Alternate Locations - Where to operate from
