Overview

The Asset Location module enables management of physical locations where assets are housed, including data centers, offices, warehouses, and other facilities.

Creating a Location

To add a new location:

  1. Navigate to Asset - Asset Location
  2. Click Add Location
  3. Fill in location details:
    • Name - Location name
    • Type - Location type
    • Address - Physical address
    • City/Country - Geographic details
    • Description - Location description
    • Contact - Site contact person
  4. Click Submit

 

Location Types

Categorize locations:

  • Data Center - Primary and DR data centers
  • Office - Corporate and branch offices
  • Warehouse - Storage facilities
  • Cloud Region - Cloud provider regions
  • Colocation - Third-party hosting facilities
  • Remote Site - Remote or satellite locations

 

Linking Assets to Locations

Associate assets with locations:

  • When creating IT Infrastructure, select the location
  • Assets can be filtered by location
  • Track asset distribution across sites
