Overview

The Policy Center is a centralized repository for managing all organizational policies. It provides version control, approval workflows, and policy distribution capabilities.

Creating a New Policy

To create a new policy:

  1. Navigate to Compliance - Policy Center
  2. Click Add Policy
  3. Fill in policy details:
    • Name - Policy title
    • Policy Number - Unique identifier
    • Description - Brief overview
    • Effective Date - When policy takes effect
    • Owner - Person responsible for the policy
  4. Click Submit

 

Policy Structure

Policies can be organized with:

  • Groups - Logical groupings (e.g., Information Security Policies)
  • Child Policies - Sub-policies under a main policy
  • Sections - Content sections within a policy

 

Adding Policy Sections

Build your policy content:

  1. Open the policy
  2. Click Add Section
  3. Enter section title and content
  4. Use the rich text editor for formatting
  5. Drag and drop to reorder sections

 

Version Control

Manage policy versions:

  1. Go to policy detail page
  2. Click Create New Version
  3. Make necessary changes
  4. Publish the new version
  5. Previous versions are archived for reference

 

Policy Review

Set up periodic reviews:

  1. Configure review schedule
  2. Assign reviewers
  3. Track review status
  4. Document review outcomes

 

Policy Relations

Link policies to other modules:

  • Associate with compliance frameworks
  • Link to internal controls
  • Connect to governance documents
  • Reference related policies

 

Generating Policy Documents

Export policies as PDF:

  1. Open the policy
  2. Click Generate
  3. Select sections to include
  4. Download the formatted PDF document

 

Policy Assignment

Track policy acknowledgment:

  1. Set up assignments for employees
  2. Monitor acknowledgment status
  3. Send reminders for pending acknowledgments
  4. Generate assignment reports
